Does Your Back or Hips Cause You Problems When Popping Up? Improve your Low Back and Hip Mobility, Stability and Agility.
If you’ve had a history of low back problems and/or hip stiffness then this may be the course for you. A lot of people have difficulty with popping up as they age, and unfortunately, instead of addressing the root problem of why they can’t pop-up like they used to, they just continue to practice the same movement patterns over and over again.
I try to avoid having people simply practice popping up on the flat land until we can figure out what is causing the issue. Sometimes it’s a motor control problem between the hip and the spine, sometimes its a hip weakness issue, some people ‘lock’ up because they need to work on spine flexibility. This course will help walk you through all of these scenarios and help you tune into what you need to focus on most to improve your pop-up and keep surfing for life.

I love the ability to work with surfers one-on-one, but have felt that much of what I have learned about movement and surfing could be shared globally in and reach more people. And so… I launched Surf Body Connection. This site hosts several corrective exercise courses, designed to keep you surfing for life, that you can walk through at YOUR own pace. The best part, you can access them from home, at work, or on your surf trip!
